Very good product from a reliable vendor

This new unit is replacing the almost same model from Rheem that lasted 18 years without any maintenance so I expect the same durability from this water heater.Buy Plumbing shipped the product very quickly and got home well packed and in perfect conditions. The installation was easy (you have to have some tools and basic knowledge of what you are doing),just check (and follow!) the installation instructions and your local regulations.

Want A Dented Water Heater??? Buy a Rheem at Amazon

Apparently all AMAZON has is dented Rheem water heaters. Over a 2 week period I have ordered and returned 3, that is THREE Rheem water heaters all which arrived DENTED, and damaged in other ways. On at least one the pressure release valve was bent in the mounting hole, and the special pressure tab was all wrinkled and the edges were rolled over. Amazon's response was fantastic, fast and professional. They even compensated me for the hassle. I will definitely order from Amazon again, but CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED on the water heaters. Since the first box was obviously damaged, and the second two were damaged very little, it made me wonder if the other damaged water heaters were being repackaged and reshipped hoping that people in a jam would accept them. My water heater is only leaking slowly and I have a dam around it in case it breaks. I can wait to get a good one. But with 3 strikes, Amazon is not the place to by a Rheem water heater. They have shipped me a tread mill in the past just fine! So maybe the problem is with their supplier. But I am done investigating this one.....

Can't go wrong.

Researched hot water heaters for days before pulling the trigger on this one. Was considering tankless, solar, and energy star models. In the end, I just wanted a good, reliable supply of hot water and this heater does the job for a very low cost. Simple installation. Simple operation. Massive quantities of hot water and a very fast recharge. It would have been easy to spend 3X the money for another model, but this one satisfied every need I had.
